Wizard not affecting Relay outputs... <resolved, forced off>

Post by robert.trescott »

Dragging actions into the wizard output list does not activate/deactivate relays of the selected OUTPUT pins. For example, dragging the WORKLAMP function into OUTPUT1, then saving and restarting, fails to toggle the relay or output states on return, when the associated VCP button is pressed.
The M61 and M81 macros also fail to toggle OUT1, the same with the other output pins and macros.
However, the relay outputs can be affected in the simple PLC diagnostics *ALT-i" utility. The wizard-assigned name is also represented in the diagnostics.
I must be missing something very obvious, but I'm brand new to Centroid Acorn, so I'm on a steep learning curve!

sounds like you didn't press "Write Settings to CNC control" in the Wizard

OR you left the output in the FORCED OFF state with the PLC Diagnostic menu

The wizard did compile my saved data and the names of the outputs did appear in the diagnostics window... something else is going on... I just figured how to attach reports! Cheers and thanks!

Got it! It was indeed the PLC Diagnostics forced in the output off state. It had to be something obvious! Cheers and Thanks
