Spindle fault remove probe from spindle

Post by DrLocke »

Upgrading from v4.82 to v5.06. v4.82 has worked fine for months. Got v5.06 running X,Y,Z and TT-1 and KC-3 probe appear to work. Spindle will not start because of subject error. Have removed probe from wizard and still same error. I'm guessing I need to change a parameter but can't find a reference. This appears to be my final hurdle. Latest Report attached. (prior to removal of probe in wizard.)

Your report claims that the tool in the spindle is T10, which is the probe. Is the tool listed in the status bar in the top-right: T10H10?

It was when I first attempted to start the spindle and I then changed it to tool #1 but that didn't solve the issue.

sounds like the probe detect signal has been inverted?

Re: Spindle fault remove probe from spindle

Post by DrLocke »

Posted a new report that shows the fault as most recent action.
Added probe back into the wizard.
Tried inverting the Probe Detect and no change, still faults when attempting to start spindle.

In the wizard, what are the settings for "inhibit spindle when detect is on" for both your probe and tt?

I have both set to yes, this is no problem to run the spindle if probe detect or tripped is not on.

Right, but if the TT is set to inhibit the spindle while detect is on, it will trip the same fault "Remove probe from spindle" even though the issue lies in the TT being connected.
