I bought an MPG.
Everything works, of course. I can work almost exactly the same as on a Haas.
Uwe was very kind and even gave me his macro to quickly calibrate the tool.

Setting the zero point is super fast.Cooooollllll
Then the time had come. Working with it for the first time. A real job.
T101 facing that was easy then g28 next tool.....
An engraving job (C axis) with an engraving tip that has a spring and forgives errors
I put the MPG on feed....
Start pressed and slowly approach the workpiece.....
The tool in the program was wrong.That was of course my mistake.
Who hasn't this happened to?...Laugh
So in a panic I tried to turn the MPG feed to 0.
Of course that didn't work. Only up to 1%.
The tool slowly moved further into the workpiece.
At the last moment I reached my PC and pressed ESC.
Of course I realize that there is feed hold.
I was thinking about what would have happened with a different tool.......with a rotating spindle and the "feed hold pressed" the spindle doesn't stop.
The problem is that there is no emergency stop on the MPG.
I have a request.
Would it be possible to create a macro that activates the software emergency stop?
You could then put that on Macro 1/2/.......
It would also be good to retrofit such an emergency stop on the MPG or to build the next generation MPG with something like this.

The red button on the WMPG will also stop the spindle.
But think about a fat physical E-Stop easy to reach on the lathe, there is a reason it is in all schemes

Do you still know M68/M88? Stop to start the second spindle?
I think you had M66 M86?
It doesn't always go off when you press the red button. Sometimes yes, sometimes no.
That's why I wanted an emergency stop macro

Needs PLC programming, but I strongly recommend using a physical E-Stop.

E-Stop is an input, IMHO no way to switch it with a macro.
Best way to stop everything is a fat buzzer style E-Stop

I still have relays available on the card.
M69 M89 activates or deactivates the emergency stop
I can use this to feed a macro.
