This is how my production CNC machines are working.

on the WMPG we currently have it setup so While running a job with the selector knob on "FEED" the "=0" button acts a deadman switch.. as long as you hold it down the wheel controls the rapid override value adjustment, as soon as you let go, it returns to the feedrate override.

im sure there are a couple of ways to achieve this functionality so we are welcome to suggestions. thanks!

Now I have modified the PLC for 20% Feed Override on Macro3 and 100% on Macro4, should be possible for Rapid Override also...

But the 0 button solution is also nice.

yeah, all this stuff is in the PLC which is fully user editable..so if someone in the future wants to do things differently than the "centroid way' that is completely possible. that is the beauty of having so much of the cnc control in the centroid plc program rather than hard coded in cnc12 itself.

v5.06 style VCP with one override controlling both rapid and feedrate with a rapid over button to link and unlink them
are available in the Wizard VCP preferences menu, first drop down box, pick any VCP skin WITHOUT the word Rapid in it.
