4th Axis Auto-Pariring & the physcal Machine movement

Post by Blaze »

Hello all, I need some help setting up my auto-pairing 4th axis and the physical movement of my machine using the AcornSix controller
I believed I had followed the instructions as described on https://www.centroidcnc.com/centroid_di ... _guide.pdf starting at page 9.

Once the machine executes the pairing command, it appears that the machine axes does not move in unison rather, Slave motor only moved to seek the slave switch first, in the negative direction.
The machine will then move the Y Master motor side to seek the switch in the positive direction for some distance away from the switch and then stop, thus creating a twisting condition to the gantry..

Obviously, the switch is offset. 025" away from the slave switch in the negative direction.
I have tried switching directions using the axis configuration menu for these motors without success.
I have bench-tested these motors without any issues.

One thing I noticed: after disassembling the motors from the machine, I realized that the machine is driven by a Yunyan Mode PLE080-5-1 gear transmission.

. This transmission looks like the motor has to be moving in the positional direction to actually move the machine in the negative direction. I have set the motor direction to allow the machine to move in the positive direction. I have also set the reverse direction of 4axis to “No” on the Axes Pairing Manu on the wizard.

However this leave me with my Y Axes buttons to not work correctly. If I press “Y+ button on the VCP the machine will actually mores in the negative/ opposite direction. How can I correct this?

You've posted in the wrong Forum - this is for BETA software only.

Suggest you correctly repost in the Acorn forum
Hope this helps

Use the Axis direction reversal selection in the Axis configuration menu to flip the entire axis (both paired motors)
