TB270 and TB309(Rev4) Comm error <resolved>
Hello,
I am experiencing 425 communication errors.
I have followed tech bulletin 270
1) Bench test complete
2) New Windows 11 operating system - I followed the two youtube videos in bulletin 270 and double checked all settings outlined as per TB309 (Rev4)
- Power options and sleep setting adjusted per instructions
- Clock settings adjusted per instructions
- Turn off energy efficient option - NA - Option not available
3) Not using bulkhead connector
4) Tested two different shielded ethernet cables 1) supplied with acorn and 2) user supplied shielded cable - Ethernet cable >6" away from all power / drive cables
5) Not using USB ethernet adapter
6) Ethernet adapter drivers up to date
7) No antivirus installed
8) Windows firewall turned off
9) Bios power saving feature - Not sure - Where do I look?
10) No other network devices active - Wireless turned off
11) Tested two different cables
12) Wireless turned off
13) Don't believe other programs are attempting to update - suggestions on how to check?
14) DC power supply dedicated to Acorn
-Stress Test results
-CPU and computer specs
Thoughts on what I can try next?
Thank you,
Matthew

That's all great info Matthew but you forgot to attach a current report from the machine, we need to see that also. Snap a pic of the control cabinet also or better yet start a google photo album to keep your pics all in one place and share a link here. Are you using shielded wires where needed?

So glad I found this thread. Spent a couple hours today chasing wires and windows settings for a 425 comm error. Speed and duplex setting fixed mine as well.
Thank you all for this great resource.

Chief_hacker you are a life saver!
I have been fighting com issues since I updated CNC12 last month... so frustrating!
I agree that this should be added to the COM issues tech bulletin.
