Hello,
Wondering if anyone else has experienced this problem on an acorn board running CNC12. Machine was running fine, and then on the next setup when we hit the Cycle Start to begin homing, we receive an alert stating that the home all switch is tripped. The input is set to normally open. On the board, the LED is green indicating that the switch is closed. I can't see any wiring issues, and the machine was working fine right before this event. Has anyone else experienced anything like this?
Appreciate any advice.

Re: HomeAll Tripped on board without tripping switches
You stated that the LED is GREEN. Wouldn't that indicate NOT tripped? RED would indicate tripped.
Noise can cause a false signal. You can reduce noise by adding a resistor to the input. You could use a 1/2W 4,700 ohm resistor. Connect one end of the resistor to 24VDC. Connect the other end to the INPUT terminal. Connect your switch(es) to the same input. The resistor will hold the input HIGH until a switch pulls the input LOW.

Looking at the hardware LED on the Acorn board, green is closed.
If the switch is normally-open, then green/closed means it is tripped, or appears to be tripped because the input circuit is closed some other way.
Noise generally cannot cause a false closure that persists for many seconds (i.e. long enough for you to see that the LED is green).
Either your switch is damaged or contaminated; or you have a wiring issue (such as a pinched cable causing a short to chassis ground); or -- least likely -- you have damaged input hardware on your Acorn board.
Disconnect the wire from the Acorn plug. Does the hardware indicator remain green? If so, the problem is on the Acorn. If not, the problem is in the switch or wiring.
Reconnect the wire to the Acorn plug, and disconnect it from the switch. Does the hardware indicator again turn green? If so, the problem is in the cable. If not, the problem is in the switch.

Re: HomeAll Tripped on board without tripping switches
All good advice for sure. Hopefully you just have a bad switch. If that's the case do yourself a favor and replace them all with NC switches. A safer option.
