Pendant options for use with Acorn on a CNC router?

Post by Gamby »

Looking for some pendant suggestions for use with the Acorn controller on my CNC router. I like the openbuilds interface controller features and price but I am told it will not work. The Centeoid pendant looks nice but I was looking for something a little less expensive.

Thanks for any input.

Buy the wireless MPG, it'll be the second best decision you made for your router. :D

All the other "wired" options are silly when you can do the very same thing they do with your "wireless" computer keyboard. If you have a wireless keyboard on the PC then you already have a wireless pendant. Maybe not as small as a shuttle or xbox controller but it's free and you already own it. And it didn't take you a day to setup. I recommend using the keyboard for now and save your pennies for the Centroid wireless MPG, it's awesome. The four macro buttons on it are very handy. Just my 2¢

Save your money until you can afford the best(right) tool for the job. Don't settle for the cheaper imitation

I've found the wireless MPG to the the best thing I've done for my CNC since purchasing it. The WMPG is the cat's meow. Plus it looks so cool.

Another vote for the wireless MPG, it's a game changer for manually setting WCS.Yes it feels like a lot of money, but the MPG is a bargain for what it is.

Some folks have adapted video game controllers as pendants, heck some people use them to control deep sea submersibles...

And they work just about as you'd expect. Get the CORRECT wireless MPG.
Cheers,
