Configuring servo motor for spindle

I’m experimenting with a nema 42 servo motor for a spindle motor on my g0704 conversion. Working on the bench connection before tearing apart the machine. Going over the wire diagrams available.

Anyone familiar with this controller?

If there are no more options than in the first pic, the driver is without an direction input to change from CW to CCW
With Acorn6 no problem, with Acorn you only have 0-10V.....

Yes using an Acorn.

Isn’t the direction the -10/+10 at “voltage directive”

Yes but Acorn is only 0-10V not -10V-+10V on the spindle output

Maybe you can configure one of the Servos inputs for direction change.

Says i can connect the 220v single phase. Need to figure that out on the 3 lines in.

Found another diagram that should help

... if a diagram that shows one thing, but says another, can be considered helpful.

Their text says to use L1 and L2 with single-phase power.
Their picture shows only L1 and L3 wired between the main breaker and the E-stop contactor.

You can probably conclude that it does not matter which two of the three phases are powered, in a single-phase configuration.

Found another manual with better English. Trying to see if I can use the VFD setup similar to the other servo as spindle connections to set direction.

As I read them, the analog sets the rpm and the direction is set via the VFD settings off the relay board?

You can set one of the 4 SigIn Inputs with parameter PN09-63 to value 18. That should inverse the direction if wired to VFD-Direction Output from Acorn. (The translation of the manual is really bad  )
