Is there a method on Centroid Lathe to pick up on a thread that needs re-cutting / chasing?
Thread cutting within a program on a new part is great, I've had good success with this, but how do I put a threaded component back into the chuck and recut the same thread to repair it or lengthen it?
The prototrak software has an option called 'thread repair' to do this; is there a procedure to follow to allow me to do this on my centroid control? I've been through the lathe manual but can't find any reference to this.
Thanks

It sucks big time. Maybe I should suggest improving this as a software enhancement.

Re: Lathe thread chasing
Looking forward to this. I do a lot of re-threading now on a manual lathe.cnckeith wrote: ↑Mon May 01, 2023 3:38 pmits on the to do list.tblough wrote: ↑Sun Apr 30, 2023 7:04 pm TB 170 covers this: https://www.centroidcnc.com/dealersuppo ... ds/170.pdf

Thanks Keith! I don't do it often, but when I do, I remember why I don't want to do it.cnckeith wrote: ↑Mon May 01, 2023 3:38 pmits on the to do list.tblough wrote: ↑Sun Apr 30, 2023 7:04 pm TB 170 covers this: https://www.centroidcnc.com/dealersuppo ... ds/170.pdf

there is much discussion between a few dealers and power users on how to implement a user friendly version of this feature.
