120vac Estop Circuit ok?

Post by JRD56 »

I'm designing the electrical system for a shop made CNC mill. I have a contactor with a 120vac coil I'd like to use for the Estop circuit. I'll be using an estop pushbutton with two NC contacts, one will go to input 8 and ground. I'd like to use the other contact to go thru output 1 on the relay card and then to the contactor coil.

Are the contacts on the relay card rated for 120vac? The load will be just the contactor coil which is quite small.

That will work. The relays are reated at 10A for 125VAC.

The relay ratings are printed on top of the relays.

Thanks, guess I should have looked at the relays first.
