spindle benc htest

Post by mcbr549 »

I started having trouble with my spindle on my Grizzly G9972Z lathe. I'm using a DuraPulse GS20X -22P0 VFD driving a 2hp motor. Occasionally the spindle would not shut off and I would reset the VFD and it would start up again.

Today it did not work (resetting) so I started looking at everything. I decided to un hook the analog input and run the spindle bench test.

Here is what happened...on the very first one I got .87 volts which is less than the 1.65 and it stops the test.

My question is, what else can I check to cause this under-voltage?

Do you have a capacitor across the 0-10V line?

I am using a snubber (5.jpg) to stop voltage fluctuating with VFD attached to acorn.
