error importing unlocks

Post by kilo7 »

Hello to this forum:
I have been trying to import digitizing (ultimate) license file
to a working version of 4.82 Mill pro. The result is Fail. error is
“ error importing unlocks” and changes MillPro to Free version.
I have done clean install of acorn v4.82 Milo Pro and it operates all axis’s as advertised. Bad Digitizing upgrade license ??? Im a a loss on this one.

The importing of license file for Ultimate upgrade causes the software to revert to Free Version on restart of the software.
If setup as Mill Pro , No change it just keeps the Mill Pro Status.
No errors are indicated . All axis function . Using C86AACP , which is working as well.

Somehow, in your license*.dat file, all of the line endings have been changed from a carriage return and a line feed (standard for DOS/Windows) to two carriage returns and a line feed.

That is evidently causing problems for CNC12 when it tries to import the file, perhaps because the first (extra) carriage return is interpreted as a character at the end of the hex-codes sequence.

Centroid would do well to modify CNC12 so that, after it parses a "line" from the file, it strips any remaining leading or trailing white space characters (spaces, tabs, carriage returns, or newlines). That would reduce the number of support inquiries from people whose license files have moved through non-Windows file systems.
