Fantastic.

make sure fan is pressurizing the cabinet and is filtering the incoming air.

Will do. Spindle will need to wait a while as I need to get a box for the VFD and have other things to do with this build.

i'm working on the laser now, converting over the 4.4W laser kit that was originally on the Axiom (no PWM). I'm working with JTech to figure out the safety interlock wiring as this done very differently on the Axiom.

Is there a way to control PWM from the VCP or with g-code? It would be very nice to be able to 'turn down' the laser when zeroing it during setup.

I'm trying to get the laser going and getting nowhere.
I can't find a voltage coming out of Output 2. I am measuring across Terminal 14 and any COM on the DB25 breakout board.
The Output Relay is wired according to the JTech Acorn schematic using predefined Outputs for Output 1 (NoFaultOut) and Output 2 (PWM Output), Output 4 (LaserEnable). I'm not using LaserReset (Output 7) because I'm manually holding down the reset button while these outputs turn on.

I get green lights on Output 1 and Output 4. There is no green light for Output2 because I cut that wire to the relay board

What sort of voltage should I see coming from the PWM output? Is there a way to turn on this output directly to take out other variables?

Do you have PWM enabled in the wizard? You can issue M37 in MDI to enable the laser, and then issue a SXXX to fire the laser or use the spindle override to raise/lower the power level.

Ah HAH! It works! I wasn't using the "S command" to tell it how much power to put out.
This is a major milestone, as I was unable to modulate power levels with the RichAuto controller. The photo below shows increasing power applied as I jogged along the Y-axis via the WMPG-4.

More progress. Got the toolset working with the Axiom Conductive tool setter.
I don't have the VFD hooked up yet, and can't figure out how to get the spindle coolant pump working, but that will come.
The Axiom is now able to laser engrave a previously written Vectric file using the Vectric Laser module and @Sword's Vectric post processor. Nice to see things working.
I LOVE the Acorn operating environment!

The spindle coolant pump is operational.
From the output section of the RichAuto A1x, wire 1 (spindle) and the 'GND' wire (labeled 0V) were hooked to Acorn Output 5, normally open. When Output 5 is activated it sends a signal to a Relay on the Axiom power bus which activates 12V power to the fluid pump and fan.

Right now I can switch it On/Off by labeling Output 5 "VFD Enable" and turning the spindle on/off. When I wrap everything up with the Siemens V20 VFD connection, I'd like to wire the outputs such that enabling the VFD will trigger a separate output labeled SpindleFan just to keep things clear.

Wiring up the Siemens V20 VFD is next on the list. Waiting for the box to arrive.

The VFD is hooked up. I changed the Siemens VFD parameters to match those suggested by Centroid in their Draft Schematic for this VFD.
I get 10V analog out at 100% spindle speed. But the spindle doesn't move. All I'm seeing is a constant ramping up then down in the VFD Display.
I have no clue how to resolve this and have put in a request for my paid support hour to see how we can get it going.
