To all,
I just recently purchased the T6 1000 watt servo kit from stepperonline. I am wanting to run this as my spindle motor on my precision matthews pm727v. I have nema 34 closed loop steppers running the CL 86Y drivers on my x,y,z with the latest version of Acorn. Im currently running the stock BLDC motor with the KDSI240 board for spindle control ( on /off , forward/reverse ) . I am currently in the process of converting the geared head over to a belt drive ,machining new quill ,designing a riser ...etc...,along with the PDB . So my question is where can I get all the info for wiring ....all the do's and don'ts

The most important don´t is to get an position only servo driver for use as spindle drive with Acorn.
You need one with velocity mode and 0-10V input for speed regulation.

Re: T6 1000 WATT SERVO STEPPERONLINE
I do not know the answer to your question as I have only myself just purchased a set of T6 1000w Servos from Stepper Online.
But they are the same as the Leadshine EL6 (also ELP and EL7 but with less IO) Servo Drives - you may find more information on these.
Luke.

Thanks for your reply Luke what do you plan on running g them on axis positioning? Or spindle drive..lwiseman89 wrote: ↑Tue Dec 20, 2022 6:22 pm I do not know the answer to your question as I have only myself just purchased a set of T6 1000w Servos from Stepper Online.

Pulsemode is what you want if you wish to use the servos as axis drives with Acorn. If you want to use the servo as a spindle motor, you need 0-10V, or -10 to +10V control (velocity mode).
If you want to use the servo as a combination lathe spindle motor and "C" axis, then you need a servo that can switch between pulse mode and velocity mode on the fly.

Re: T6 1000 WATT SERVO STEPPERONLINE
Would this be a better fit ?? Any suggestions on a servo spindle for a pm727v equal to a g0704

This is a ELS7-RSxxxZ that will work as spindle drive:
https://www.leadshine.com/product-detai ... 1000Z.html
I am using JMC servos, easy to setup and configure, reliable performance. I have also posted a schematic and setup how to.
On my mill similar to the PM727 1.5kw with ratio for higher spindle speed.
They are often used in Germany and I know no case with problems (AC 220V series). Good for C-Axis with only one drive also.
