Thanks for the suggestions. It is weird that in Shawn's case, he turns on the PC, then Acorn. With Uwe's setup, he is turning on Acorn then the PC. I never paid particular attention to this sequence, but I will now.

I have however noticed that my wireless pendant sometimes disables the ability to use the incremental or slow jog functions. It has something to do with when I turn on the pendant. I have not confirmed the exact sequence of events yet (Gotta love Windows).

I will also check windows antivirus. Thanks.

This brings me to two other questions:

1. My PC is currently a dedicated bare bones Intel NUC with no other software installed. I even shut off Wi-Fi. In a perfect world, it would be great to have Fusion 360 loaded on this NUC so I could modify the CAM on the fly. Can you confirm that this may not be a good idea?

2. I also have 24" touch screen monitor as well as a 28" high def monitor on the NUC. Do you think that the dual monitors could be an issue?

Thanks again... Richard

1. bad idea, fusion need internet. My CNC PCs are configured for CNC and are virus magnets if connected

I use fusion on an other PC (workstation for CAM) an transfer with USB switch. After posting afile it is one button and the g-code is in Acorn.

2. no clue, but why do you need 2 monitors?

Work with KISS, whats not needed is not here and could not cause a problem.

You are talking about "error 452" (not 432) right?

On my computer this error message appears during machining on the screen with the draw.
I have not noticed any problem either in the machining or in the drawing, but I think that the problem is an excess of data during the drawing that the computer is not capable of processing and/or transmitting.

The computer is an Hp Elite 8300 - Desktop computer (Intel Core i5-3470, 8GB of RAM, 500GB HDD, DVD drive, Windows 10 PRO ES 64) With the HDD formatted, configured according to Centroid instructions, only has Centroid Acorn software installed.
Actually I have not given too much importance to the problem, because everything works perfectly.

Hi Hugo,

your PC is ok for this task, the g-gode for this part seems to be very small. Not much data to transfer.

I have no problems with >30000 lines g-code/min processing incl. smoothing (though such short vectors are not optimal)

This will be a problem with the network setup, I bet.

Usually for running g-code the message will not cause problems, only if you run a probing job.

Anyway better fix this.

Uwe

I tried modifying the "Speed & Duplex" option. It was on "Auto negotiation" and I set it to "1.0 Gbps Full duplex"... but on this option I couldn't get it to communicate with Acorn, I rebooted, shutdown, etc. but I didn't get it.
I was very reminded of the basic rule of computer science: "If it works, don't touch it"
I put the settings back to "Auto negotiation" and the computer reconnected with Acorn, I tried the program where the message "452" appeared and now it did not appear anymore, problem solved...
I guess this time Intel and Acorn (Or Seeed) will have made a better negotiation.
How is Acorn Ethernet configured? Full duplex or half duplex?

In the troubleshooting thread posted earlier, they suggested 100mbps and half duplex.

If I have the "452" problem again, I'll try the option "100mbps Half duplex"
