Remote dust switch

Post by firechief »

Has anybody setup a wireless dust collector switch that can be turn on and off from acorn. I would like to use a output from acorn to a transmitter that will turn it on and off. The wireless system is easy just can't get me head around how to send it from acorn. If anybody has done this can you please post some pic or information on it.

Thanks

You need a transmitter like this one, and switch it with an Acorn output.

The reciever then controls the dust collector.

On a much lighter load scale, but just for some ideas, I took one of these wireless remote outlets, opened up the case, soldered a couple of leads to the button on the board, and then ran them to one of the Acorn relays. It's mounted inside the control box and turns on my laser exhaust fan. Also got a spare remote and programmed it to the same outlet for manual use if desired. Max 15A/125VAC.
