I was running my mill this weekend doing some dynamic milling . Im running cnc12 4.8 , I used mastercam 2018 to program the part with . This is what happen , as I was roughing the outside shape after making it half way thru the program the machine kept cutting at the set up speed ...meaning when it is finished with a cut it uses higher feed rates to reposition itself to start a new cut , the cutting feed rate was 6.5 and the reposition feed was 100, so when the machine didn't slow down to the cutting feed rate the cutter overloaded itself and shut down. My deal is I can't find anything that stands out to me maybe I have been looking at it too long and some fresh eyes can help me , I'm not sure if it is a program error or if the software " glitched" im not sure I would think its a program error so can some take a look and see if something does look right. I will attach the report file later this evening but for now I have attached the g code file

i took a look at the posted g code.. i see the feedrate changing from F6.42 to F100
looks like to me CNC12 is doing exactly what its being told to do so i'd go back to MasterCam and review the selections and settings.

when the 'tool overloaded" did you stop CNC12? if so, go in the Run menu and click "search" it will display the line number that the g code program was interrupted on.. this is useful info.. now open the g code program in Notepad ++ and start studying the g code in that area. you will find the issue.

Thanks for taking the time to review the file it does look like it is cutting but these are positioning moves . I have the line it stopped on , but I am taking everyone's advice and going back to mastercam to look it over .....I am going to rerun the program above the material " air cut " and see if I can catch it doing it again . I'm thinking I had the rapid over ride on . I did have the feed override on at 200% but that was at the beginning of the program , The error occurred around 13,000 so ill see if it will do it again under the same conditions . I will also post the report file when I get to the shop
