It was copied to the desktop and run from there.

All i get is a message from windows that it does not have permission to access the file.

post a shot of the error message from windows otherwise we are all just guessing.

sounds like you have a file open when trying to install the new version and windows is telling you i can't access the file since its open.

I got in installed... Now the next problem acorn will not communicate with the software. yes I have a heart beat, it times out and any key will close it.
I checked all setting in windows just like to video. Nothing.

Please help

Did you set the IP address correctly for your ethernet card? It should have automatically did this during the setup.

What was the issue with the software install?

The software will not load and time out. with the message i get upabove

I set the IP just as in the video and also pinged both IP 10.168.41.1 and .2

My guess is CNC12 is being blocked by Windows firewall. Add cnc(m/t/r/p).exe to the firewall exceptions.
