I went back and re read the topics that where pointed out to make sure I didn't miss anything. The machine has been working fine until a week ago when I got a message that ether1616 was offline. Also auto connect issue in regards to communication does not explain what is pulling the power supply down. So the auto connect issue I don't think applies.
