Glad you got it sorted out. Make sure you run the spindle bench test one last time before you hook it up to Acorn. And don't forget to set PD070 to 0 when you do.
You will probably need a .1 MFD cap to place across the analog output of Acorn for a stable signal and RPM.
Hey Shawn, this is the first time I've run across this .1 MFD cap suggestion? How necessary is it? Is it only if I experience speed issues?
I've got my Hy VFD wired up, need to set it's parameters. I hope to get my coolant pump hooked to my spindle today and do some bench testing.
I don't want to leave out anything important.
You wont know until you get it wired to Acorn. Once you do simply command a speed to the VFD and see it the VFD speed fluctuates +/- several Hz or RPM, whatever your VFD displays. If it's rock solid dont worry about the cap. If the VFD isn't steady add the cap at the Acorn across the analog output.
