Screw Mapping

Post by RGSparber »

I recently upgraded from X and Y lead screws which used screw compensation to X and Y ball screws. I redid my screw compensation tables and turned on the X table. Regardless of the value in the table for 1", I see no change in the measured error at this position. I am able to tune X backlash and it works fine.

I do run Home after all changes to the table and to backlash.

One thing that is new is my version of CNC12.

Does anyone use screw compensation with the newest version of the software?

Thanks,

Rick
