fault 327

Post by oxcreek121 »

hello,
I have an avid benchtop pro 2x2 with acorn, running clearpath motors and a cnc depot fm30 ATC spindle. been running for about two years and just recently developed a problem where i am constantly getting faults, to the point it is impossible to get thru a program. I either get fault 327, or drive fault 9031. I have struck out trying to figure out what these are caused from. I am not good at reading the report, hoping someone else can help me out here. I have checked all the connections. I get these with and without the spindle running ( I originally thought it may have been spindle noise) I believe I attached the latest report. Thank you in advance for any help.

If you fault a ClearPath motor, look at the silicone plug covering the USB port. It will be blinking yellow. Blink codes are in the ClearPath manual

See that is where I am confused. none of the motors are actually faulting out, they are all still green, in act the c86aacp is still green and not faulted out either.

Then you may have EMI present in your system, which seems to be common with DIY builds. There are numerous threads here relating to solutions. Look for improper grounding of the spindle & VFD and the connecting cable.

from the report.zip errror message log , CNC12 is seeing Drive Fault. this means the input assigned to Drive Fault is being triggered. if none of the motors are faulted when this occurs, then it is the C86 board, could be as simple as loose connection, have you tried tightening everything down again?

I have tightened all connections. I was originally thinking it was the board, so I bought a second board and still have the same problem.

check all connections, logic power to input connection could cause this.. i see lots of limit tripped message in the error log as well. if something is loose there, it would cause the drive to shut down since cnc12 thinks you hit a limit.
