New to CNC, Probable purchase of Centroid Acorn

Post by davidwenrich »

Hello all! Centroid/Acorn newbie here. I have a small Denford Mill that I plan to retrofit a modern controller to. From what I have learned, I am leaning towards the Acorn. My question is, aside from watching someone else, or from just buying it, is there any way to check out the software pre-purchase? I see that the website says a powered up Acorn is the only way to run the software.... Is there no way to just poke around the UI to get a feel for it's layout?

You can download the servo version (oak/AllIn1DC) and install a demo version from that. Acorn does not currently have a demo, but the UI is the same.
