I am just about to complete my conversion of a PM833 to CNC. After having everything assembled, I had to remove the x-axis ball screw assembly after realizing that the ball nut was defective. As I disassembled the ball screw, I noticed that the screws holding the flange of the ball nut to the supporting block were loose.
The image below shows the ball screw and ball nut. The arrows show where the mounting screws go. Do you reccomend using loctite on these screws to prevent them from loosening due to vibration?
Thanks... Richard

I am using these here to prevent loosening:

I do not like Loctite in places where it is not easy to unscrew.

Yes, I always go back and blue loctite everything. Blue is removable without heat so its not permanent, but will prevent the screws from loosening due to vibration.

Re: Ball nut & Loctite
I would also loctite the screws attaching the yoke to the saddle. If they are not currently loose, do them one at a time and you shouldn't affect the alignment. Even with loctite, torque the screws properly.
Cheers,
Tom
