Re: Acorn6!!!???
AcornSIX is in the alpha test phase and is very promising in features and function. No idea on a timeframe for release to the general public, but Centroid does not release until a product is proven ready

Re: Acorn6!!!???
Thanks Gary. Your the one I heard it from! Was prodding for any other info. Will it still need the C86 and the 5v relay or did they internalize that.

Re: Acorn6!!!???
Devlin....
Not sure that I understand your question. IF you are referring to the C86ACCP interface board that's made for the Acorn4, it is not required on any Centroid product. It's a convenience that allows connection options and a combined alarm feature. AcornSIX has 6 driver channel terminals for both line driver (ttl) for steppers and open collector for servos
As far as output relays go, there are 2 outboard 8 channel relay modules with the AcornSIX identical to the one on Acorn4

Re: Acorn6!!!???
There are enough inputs that you don't need the little 4 relay board to combine the clearpath drive fault signals.
In the Wizard there are individual input definitions for each drive.
This also brings up warning message for each individual drive when one faults so you know which one is complaining.
or if you want you can still use the 4 relay board to combine the drive fault signals. either way works just fine.

Re: Acorn6!!!???
Up to 9 encoder inputs and more analog I/O ?
This will raise the bar for DIY CNC

Re: Acorn6!!!???
Yes, I like the look of those additional encoder inputs! I'd like to think they will enable closed loop position control at some stage. Perhaps not immediately but.....

9 encoders? I only see 3 DB9 connectors
