NC viewer

Post by BillB »

Hey all, Im looking for some recommendation's for a G-code viewer for when programming in Intercon.

Ive looked at the on line (NC viewer) seams pretty basic dose the job but would be nice to have the following.

Simple, intuitive and free would be nice. It would be nice to have one that will show tool orientation assuming you could set that up and it would change tools as it runs since Im on a gang tool lathe. Be permanently configured for Lathe and mill so every time it opens it visually represents the machine tool and shows me what rapid moves are engagement moves VS retract moves. Im having a hard time trying to figure out what is what in some files. Im working on trying to diagnose and resolve when rapid moves are out of the work envelop still having issues with that but getting a better understanding of it.

Hey Keith,
Would be nice if CNC12 control and runtime graphics were color coded. Red moves for approach and engagement and blue or what ever color lines for retract or any non cutting or approach moves. Would be nice for us newbies who have not mastered the visualization of non cutting tool movements all the red lines are indiscernible from one another.

Confidence is the feeling you have before you fully understand the situation.
I have CDO. It's like OCD, but the letters are where they should be.
