Just a quick question. I just wired an Omron quadrature encoder on for my PM 833TV conversion (I made up the cable). Everything appears to be working perfectly except for a minus sign. When the spindle is turning clockwise (when looking down at the spindle from the front of the mill), the RPM's are reading a negative number. Is this a case of operator error?
Thanks... Richard

Re: Negative RPM From Encoder
Change your Machine Parameter 34 value (spindle encoder counts per revolution) to a negative number.
Alternately, swap your A-phase wires with your B-phase wires.

Re: Negative RPM From Encoder
Thanks so much for your reply. I went into the spindle settings in the Wizzard and changed the counts to -8000 and it is working perfectly.... That is much quicker than swapping wires!
Thanks again... Richard
