how to delay feed movement for spindle run up

Post by alexj »

Hi Guys
I'm new here and new to Acorn cnc12.
I recently hooked up cnc12 acorn board and software on my 4x8 router.
The spindle is controlled from the software.
When I hit cycle start to begin job, the spindle and feed starts together. This results in the tool feeding into the material before the spindle set speed is achieved.
How do I program 5 secs delay after the spindle start (to allow run up to speed), then to continue feeding?

Thanks
Alex

Place a dwell in the M3 macro after the spindle is turned on

G4 P# ; where # = number of seconds you wish to pause
