Acorn Lathe Gang Tooling

Post by Charles »

I have a slide lathe with Acorn on it.
How do I make the Acorn run auto.
I have 4 tools setup.
Right now I am hitting the button 4 times to make a part.

Charlie.

The easiest way with gang tooling is to use rhe same tool number for all tools and just change the offset. This will prevent the machine from stopping for a tool change. You will need DRO make sure the tool is clear of the work before calling the new offset because the lathe will no longer automatically move to the tool change position.

I've been searching in the forums, watching videos, reading guides and manuals. I still receive the prompt to change tools each time while running a program with my lathe gang tool setup. I've attached my report. I've gone through the parameters multiple times, but I must be missing something.

I've set parameter #6 = 1. I've tried everything multiple ways without luck. I would appreciate if someone could offer some advice or help. Thanks!

Edit your cnctch.mac file so that it is empty (blank), or contains nothing but a comment.
