Trouble getting DG4S Brushed servo drive to Jog with Acorn

Post by CNCAdam »

Hello support forum
I have a lathe I'm converting to Acorn from mach3 and I have 2 of the CNC drive DD4s Drives the I can't seem to get the axis motors to move with acorn jog commands. I can see the Jog status Goto 10ipm and back to Zero so I'm assuming the Signal is trying to output to drive I have checked everything on the DG4S Drives except actual movement looking at the Dg4s manual there is only 3 wired that need hooked up Com, Step and Direction. Please note the drives were working with the CNC4PC C32 board previously.

Hi Adam, post a copy of your current report from the machine and the wiring diagram you followed. Are you wired to the DB25 port on the Acorn via a breakout board or are you using the Acorn headers? My guess is that you are wiring the drives to the headers when you should be using the DB25 for that drive.

Start a google photos album and share the link here also. This is very helpful for those trying to help you.
