If it will do only 800rpm, you have max. 1200mm/min feed for the Z axis set up.

Here is how ist looks with 3000 rpm:

I've been using 250rpm and 500rpm for my threading. That's still pretty fast.
Why did you show me that link to the APT shop? Now i have just loaded up my credit card to the MAX with tools :D

Super fast What are your max feeds for the axis?. What are your steppers set to steps per rev on the drivers?

Max feed for Z with stepper was 5000mm/min with 20x5mm ball screw and Stepper belted 2:1 4000 puls/rev

Now with servo also 4000 puls/rev, Acorn set to 400 khz and out comes 15000mm/min, but I use only 10000mm/min , because this reaches the critical rpm for the long ballscrew.

I managed to leave the steps per rev at 1600 and increase the feedrate to 2200mm/min any more increase and it didn't like it.
I used coolant on all the turning and it works well.
The turret is reliable now i find that i have to do M18 after the posting of the code and then it doesn't miss a tool change.

Maybe it needed 2 more spring passes on the thread.

Now that is a big improvement compared to the first video :)

You can also try to make the first cut deeper, because this is the easy cut.
