Let me ask this, On the DB25 tab is the (screw terminal) suppose to be active? I don't get this page? On my lathe and before this issue that page would display the DB25 BUT in the off position, BUT the screw terminal button was never selected. This page makes NO sense.

Anyways I changed to screw terminal to see if that was the issue but the motors still not turning So I changed it back.

The motors are charged (locked) when there is power to Acorn control with and without CNC12 open and running. When I turn on Acorn I hear the motors charge. So seems to be a software issue then, right? Is the PLC corrupt? My wiring is fine nothing loose or disconnected.
Are you using the enable on the drives?
IF so go into the advanced tab and ONLY check the ENA boxes

I don't think so. As stated I used your video of the mini Emco lathe for all the set up on my lathe. Then when setting up the mill I just used the same settings in the wizard. Just to be sure I went into the advanced tab and checked the enable box, and restarted CNC 12 to see what happen, did not do anything so I guess the answer is no.

I was looking threw the Acorn install manual and did not realize that as it says for most drives the DB25 step and direction wiring should be used. So big question is why did you use the H3&4 connectors on Acorn for these drives? and the bigger question is how and why did it work at first but now is dead AND WHY does that wiring work on my lathe?

Many drives work on the headers. My videos are old now.
My hunch is you have something misconfigured

So when CNC12 is reset and in the ready state, motor rotors are locked? Go into the DB25 Wizard tab and make sure "header" is selected at the top

There is no selection called header. In the drop-down, they are called DB25 Post and screw terminal is this what you're talking about? I did change those before but will try it again.

Sorry,
If you are on the screw terminal choose it

Marty,

So I selected screw terminal cycled CNC12 and I have motor movement back! YES!!! Thank you. I don't get it I did change that a couple of times but it had no effect?
Question is before I did that I did not uncheck the enable box in the advanced tab. it is currently active. SO do I need to uncheck it now, as I said there is no output for enabled that I know of. In my lathe configuration, the enable box Is not checked.

Can you give me input on how to set up my rotary? Its working but I'm not sure how to set it up. What direction should it run and do I set a travel limit, should it home at 0 on the scale I guess right? Any input would be helpful.

Since a rotary table can rotate continuously, it does not have travel limits. The positive rotation direction and axis label are according to ISO standards:
https://centroidcncforum.com/viewtopic.php?f=64&t=3638
If your rotary table has a home switch, you can move to that switch with M26/ plus the axis label. If not, just jog the rotary table until the 0 is aligned with the index.
You can then set the rotary table home position using M92/ and your rotary axis label.
Cheers,

Tom
