EDIT: for the solution, jump to https://centroidcncforum.com/viewtopic. ... 788#p60788. I'm using a Beelink mini-PC with a Realtek PCIe GbE network chip in it, and there appears to be a bug in the ARP offload that was causing my issue.
I'm trying to set up my Acorn and Ether1616 with CNC12, and the wizard is telling me that "Auto Detection did not find any Ether1616 expansion boards connected to the system Ethernet Switch". It does appear to be communicating with the Acorn.
The board is powered. If I don't connect it to the switch, the display on the Ether1616 says "2". If I do connect it to the switch, it shows a single vertical line. I have tried a different Ethernet cable and a different switch port, but it still isn't found.
From the PC running CNC12, I can ping 10.68.41.3, and it responds. If I move the address jumper to A2, it then responds to pings on 10.68.41.4.
Is there anything else I can do to troubleshoot? Am I missing something important?

Re: Unable to auto-detect Ether1616
Correction: I moved the jumper from A0 to A1 and it started responding to pings on 10.68.41.4

Re: Unable to auto-detect Ether1616
Uhh...that wasn't a solution. I'm still stuck. I was just correcting that I moved the jumper from A0 to A1, and not A1 to A2, as described in my original post.

Re: Unable to auto-detect Ether1616
On some systems, IPv6 needs to be disabled for the auto detect process to work. IPv6 only needs to be disabled for the ACORN / ETH1616 Ethernet port.
Disable IPv6 example:

Re: Unable to auto-detect Ether1616
I disabled IPv6 on the wired Ethernet, and it still isn't detecting.

Re: Unable to auto-detect Ether1616
Close CNC12 and post "eth1616log.txt" contents. That file does not flush until software closes, so the contents aren't available in the report.
Do the 3 middle segments of LED1 ever scroll? If just the one middle segment is lit, it is ready, but not communicating yet.

Re: Unable to auto-detect Ether1616
Here's the file. It doesn't contain much:
[2022-02-16 12:25:32.952] [eth1616] [info] Finding ETH1616 devices ...
[2022-02-16 12:25:33.953] [eth1616] [warning] No ETH1616 devices found
[2022-02-16 12:25:33.953] [eth1616] [info] Sender closing socket
[2022-02-16 12:25:33.953] [eth1616] [info] Cleanup
When I power up the 24V power supply, the segments on the Ether1616 chase around for a few seconds, and then it just lights the middle (vertical) segment solid. When CNC12 starts, nothing further happens on the Ether1616 display.
As I said, I can ping it at the expected IP address, and the software seems able to talk to the Acorn, which is on the same switch.

Re: Unable to auto-detect Ether1616
I also checked the voltage on the Ether1616 inputs, and it's right at 24.22VDC.

Re: Unable to auto-detect Ether1616
Try totally disabling any antivirus (firewalls), such as windows defender.
Are ACORN, ETH1616, and the Ethernet switch the only things connected on the wired Ethernet?
Are you using the supplied Ethernet switch?
Sometimes the broadcast message used to detect can be blocked, even though ping succeeds.

Re: Unable to auto-detect Ether1616
I switched Defender off, rebooted and restarted CNC12. It didn't make any difference.
Yes, the ACORN, ETH1616 and the PC are the only thing connected to the switch, and I'm using the switch supplied with the ETH1616.
The only thing that looks a little odd is that it says the Ethernet interface is set to DHCP, but it also says it has the correct IP address. It was set up originally by the CNC12 installer.
