That does seem odd. Try switching to static IP and disabling IPv6 on all adapters.

If that doesn't work, you will probably need to contact support. Do you have a second Ethernet adapter that can be connected to the internet? Tech support will use Teamviewer to log in to the control PC.

Actually, I see that on my system as well. If I go under "Change adapter options" -> "internet Protocol Version 4 (TCP/IPv4)" -> "Properties" it displays properly.

If I dig down into the IPv4 settings, it is set manually. It's the Windows 10 fancy settings dialog that's confused.

The machine also has Wi-Fi, and it has Internet access.

I disabled IPv6 on the Wi-Fi connection as well, and it made no difference. Just for the hahas, I grabbed a Gigabit Ethernet switch I had laying around, and used all new shielded cables (the ones that came with the Ether1616 and Acorn) and got the same results. It's talking to the Acorn, but can't see the Ether1616.

Purely coincidently, I just happened to connect a ether1616 for the first time to my Acorn on my test bench this morning. My settings look identical, though I have IP6 enabled. It does show the DHCP setting enabled just as your screenshot does. The IP for Acorn is detected as 10.168.41.1. If I go into the IP4 settings it shows

.

I didn't do anything but plug everything in. Jumper is on A0. I have only my PC, Acorn and ether1616 plugged into the router. I can successfully ping 10.168.41.3 at all times and get the solid vertical bar until I start the Acorn software at which time the vertical bars start scrolling. If I unplug the ethernet I get a flashing 2 on the ether1616. I do not have any WIFI devices connected to the PC.

Yeah. Not working here at all. Just to be absolutely sure I didn't have some other kind of problem with my DIN rail power supplies or the network cables or something else in my enclosure, I stripped everything down to the simplest possible configuration on the bench, and I still can't connect.

After the initial power-up sequence, it sits there with that one segment lit, and doesn't change when I start the CNC12 software and connect to the Acorn. The wizard still shows that it wasn't detected.

Now what?

A couple more tests:

1. I put Windows in "Airplane Mode" to disable the Wi-Fi interface, just to be sure that wasn't causing an issue.
2. I disabled the WI-Fi interface in Windows network settings.
3. I swapped the network cables between the Acorn and the Eth1616.

In every case, the behavior was the same. When starting CNC12, the activity light on the connector of the Eth1616 (and the port at the switch) blinks a few times, and then stops. The lights for the PC and the Acorn blink rapidly while CNC12 is running.

Not sure what else to try.

I put the board under the microscope and looked it over carefully. I don't see anything obviously damaged, and the fact that the LED segments chase around, it briefly displays "2" and then shows the single segment if the network is connected, or stays showing "2" if it's not tells me that the on-board MCU is booting and running. I also checked the 3.3V and both 5V rails on the board, and the voltages are spot on.

What's my next step?

Incidentally, since I have a logic analyzer, I plugged into the Eth1616 board's debugging port, and it looks for all the world to be happy. It's just showing no indication that it's heard from the computer.

The text below is output on the debugging port shortly after power-on. Nothing further appears when starting CNC12.

I don't see the Acorn. Does the Acorn run correctly otherwise?

I don't see an earth ground connected to the Ether1616 though...

Ping 10.168.41.2?
