been cutting these all day ( testing x accuracy on lathe SOLVED)

anyway, the larger diameters are too big , the smaller too small , and the center 14 mm ring is dead nuts..Ive adjusted the settings 1000 times, any ideas.

did that a few times, I think my backlash compensation is the issue.. just redid it , coming out .5mm too large on all 5 diameters.

Sounds like a mix up of radius vs diameter, I had that before.

Ah, that means you havent got an offset correct somewhere, IE reset up the tool.

correct.. I was doing a skin pass , then zeroing the tool. Then i realized , if i went back for a spring pass more material came off,.. Zeroing at that X now gives me sub .1mm accuracy on all 5 steps of the part.. More than accurate enough for me. :D
