anyway, the larger diameters are too big , the smaller too small , and the center 14 mm ring is dead nuts..Ive adjusted the settings 1000 times, any ideas.

Cheers,

Confidence is the feeling you have before you fully understand the situation.
I have CDO. It's like OCD, but the letters are where they should be.

did that a few times, I think my backlash compensation is the issue.. just redid it , coming out .5mm too large on all 5 diameters.

Sounds like a mix up of radius vs diameter, I had that before.

Ah, that means you havent got an offset correct somewhere, IE reset up the tool.rob murphy wrote: ↑Sat Feb 05, 2022 2:18 pm did that a few times, I think my backlash compensation is the issue.. just redid it , coming out .5mm too large on all 5 diameters.

correct.. I was doing a skin pass , then zeroing the tool. Then i realized , if i went back for a spring pass more material came off,.. Zeroing at that X now gives me sub .1mm accuracy on all 5 steps of the part.. More than accurate enough for me.Chaz wrote: ↑Sat Feb 05, 2022 2:22 pmAh, that means you havent got an offset correct somewhere, IE reset up the tool.rob murphy wrote: ↑Sat Feb 05, 2022 2:18 pm did that a few times, I think my backlash compensation is the issue.. just redid it , coming out .5mm too large on all 5 diameters.
