Good afternoon Everyone.
I'm brand new to the world of Centroid and CNC12 and was just curious if anyone knows if it is possible to run CNC12 on a non-wide screen monitor? Are there settings in the software that would allow for an older "square box" style of monitor? I have two sitting around which I would like to repurpose as they perfectly fine and if possible save some cash for tooling! LOL
Looking forward to hearing your thoughts and have a great weekend!

You can run CNC12 on a square monitor, but you will not be able to use the VCP necessitating the hardware control panel and therefore either the AllIn1DC, or the Oak to interface with it.

Pretty much, if you want to use and Acorn, you need a wide screen monitor. The cost of the screen is insignificant compared to the total cost of the CNC install.
Cheers,

Tom

Ok ,I’m back at it .got everything wired up I have a heartbeat on my acorn and everything powers up correctly but I just can’t get communication to my PC. I’ve turned off most the firewalls but I’m going to go through that instructional video preparing the PC for cnc 12 . I believe I have everything wired right I’m hoping it’s just a firewall issue
