Slave Y axis with C86ACCP

I am building a machine with parallel Y axes that spin in the same direction. I am confused about the setup.

I am planning on wiring:
x-x
yslave - slaveXY (with jumpers set to YSlave)
y-y
z-z
a-not connected.

I have seen other suggestions to connect yslave to A and let the Acorn do all of the slaving.

I will eventually have reference switches on all axes.

Thanks

Great info from Arturo at C86ACCP.

The slaving only duplicates the step and direction signal. It does not support squaring, backlash, or dual homing switches. The Acorn is just configured for three axes.

If you do not have a rotary 4th axis and want to use the Acorn's gantry/slaving features, then it is ok to wire the slaved Y axis to A.

Maybe this was obvious to everyone else, but hopefully this will help someone.

Hello I'm having a problem with Slaving Y Axis to my main Y Axis. I have tried everything that I know but the C86ACCP or the Acorn board may be bad, but I have returned the Acorn board for a swap out board so IM thinking that should be good and have contacted CNC4PC about having any problems with the board and he informed me they haven't had any problems with C86ACCP. X And Y-axis will work but will not Slave to the parallel Axis

64689, please start your own build thread and post a copy of your latesr report. Often problems with slaving are the result of using the free version of CNC12. You need pro or ultimate to do software pairing.

If you have issues with C86ACCP contact CNC4PC.
I believe that CNC4PC made it so you can hardware pair.
To use software pairing in CNC12 you need the Pro License.
NOTE: You cannot use BOTH. If you have Pro license then use software pairing in CNC12 and wire your axis to C86ACCP
X,Y,Z with A being the software paired axis

Give that a go....

Please post pictures of your setup, your Acorn wiring, and please post a fresh report when asking for help. F7 Utility, F7 Create Report
The reports give us information as to how you setup CNC12
