anyone have a simple schematic for 2 dm542 drivers ?

Im running a mini lathe , 2 axis , these are the chinese stepper drivers,, Originally I was going to run the drivers directly off the board, but it appears having the db25 breakout will simplify things a great deal.. .thanks in advance..

Just follow S14976 schematic. Do not wire up the ENABLE lines at first. Just the step and direction and test for movement. Those drives are ENABLED by default.

thanks soo much. let me go look at the the s14976.. do you happen to know why H4 needs a 24 v input ? im guessing thats an isolated circuit ?

That is the 24v for the inputs on Acorn. Without 24v none of the Acorn inputs will function. There's an input on H4 and H1 but they are connected internally on the board so just run 24 volts to either one from the Acorn power supply.
