Keeping tools clear of crashes on gang tool lathe.

Lathe is a Sherline Chucker lathe which is a gang tool lathe, currently with 9 tools on it I'm working in Fusion 360. Having issues with tools hitting the stock.
Can someone offer input on how you go about setting up clearance for all tools in Fusion? I've reset my safe z several times and am currently at 1 inch beyond the front face of the stock but still not clearing the stock/part.
Is there any special set up options for gang tooling in Fusion?
