You should be using an Estop contactor to ENABLE/DISABLE the Spindle Drive and the axis drives when there is a control fault/Estop condition.

When Testing, I hit E-stop mid program spindle and axis motors shut down as you would want. Hit E-stop when spindle is running and it also shuts down. I did not have to configure anything else in Wizard to make that work. Is that correct?
Post a fresh report. F7 Utility, F7 Create report. Post a picture of your control cabinet. The report will show us how you have CNC12 configured.
Yes, hitting estop will have CNC12 stop motion. But you are then only relying on software as the safety device. By using an Estop contactor and an Estop button with two ND contact blocks, you are then physically using the estop contactor to open circuits. Axis drives and spindle cont4ol go through the estop contactor. When Estop button is in its run state, CNC12 knows it is closed and the circuit controlling the estop contactor is closed, energizing the estop contactor and closing the contactor contacts allowing spindle and axis motion.

Take a look at your error logs, you have some PC/MPU resends (F7 Utility, F9 Logs, F1 Errors) Those are usually caused by noise in the control cabinet, using an UNSHIELDED Ethernet cable from the CNC PC to Acorn, bad ethernet cable PC needing to update ethernet drivers, flakey ethernet port on the PC,

You have no outputs to turn on and off your spindle motor, you do have a NoFault output assigned, this relay should control a larger contactor that will close when CNC12 is in the normal ready state and open when there is a fault or an Estop press. The contactor will usually have 3 sets of contacts. They are used just like switches. You can power up and down the axis drives and the spindle drive with it.

Marty I think the resends are (flakey ethernet port on the PC) An issue Ive had since day 1 its a used mini PC If you remember you recommend this one to me. I think I just got a bad one. Just have not gotten to it yet.

Regarding the set up on the spindle motor, can you provide me with a link for a suitable contactor and show me exactly how to configure the outputs and wire the relays?

Look at a schematic for a Generic VFD and follow its lead. Does your spindle need to reverse?
You can run the ENAble signal through a contactor.
I believe you have a small Sherline lathe with what kind of axis motors?

The only way to have reverse is if the spindle drive you have is reversible.
Would need details/schematic of your current spindle drive. Manual to make a suggestion how to wire it up so that Acorn will turn the spindle on and off when issued an M3/M5 command.

There is the option of the Kbcc-125r which would replace the Kbic motor controller and provide reverse.

I looked into the use of reverse with Sherline set up and the bottom line is the configuration is not capable of doing any reverse or Ridgid tapping so for me that's the end story. I would not need reverse unless I would gain rigid tapping. Thanks for the input on this guys.
