I should have asked for a report.
CNC12 lathe Z is axis s 1 and X is axis 2 and has to stay that way.

Are your drives faulting or no?

Drives are not faulting. But if I leave the fault relay connected the C86 will trip after 1-2 seconds. The drivers them selves do not fault. Meaning no fault LEDs lit on drivers. I just hit the acorn reset and try again 1-2 seconds c86 fault relay trips. I have the jumpers exactly like you set in your video.

Are you getting the fault on CNC12 dialog box?
Or C86 showing the fault?

It shows a 9031 Drive Fault in the CNC12 dialog box. No fault lights on the C86. You can hear a relay on the Acorn click and then the 9031 shows up in CNC12 dialog window.

Move the wire going to Acorn drive fault on the C86 relay from NO to NC or vice versa. Give that a try

Marty good morning. THANK YOU! Great news. I had a chance this morning to move the drive fault wire to the other output on the relay to NC. It works now. When I get time later tonight I will try to simulate a motor fault (maybe disconnect the encoder cable) to test the function.

Good to hear.
There is a bit of a delay to process the drive fault, if you disconnect the encoder cable from the drive or the motor, then try and MOVE the axis after the drive registers the fault. THEN the fault should show up in the CNC12 dialog box.
Take pictures of how you have things wired in your situation, Put them in a file folder for future reference.
Plow forward, take things one step at a time, test as you go, let us know how you get along and post some pictures of you project.

Understood on CNC12 delay in picking up fault.
I will document and save pictures and notes for future reference. I will also make a marked up wiring diagram and post back here with notes to help others.
My next task is bench test and hookup of a C89 VFD board for my spindle.

Documenting and sharing with others is SUPER helpful! Thank you.
