Dust Collection Question

I have a Oneida 5hp cyclone dust collector and it uses a 3 wire start/stop switch. The on switch is a n/o and the stop is a n/c. There are three wires one on the start switch, one wire which connects between the two switches and one that is connected to the stop switch. How do I use the relay board on my Eth1616 to start and stop my dust collector?

What is the coil voltage of the contactor inside the control box where your start/stop switch is? This is marked A1 and A2. What voltage is your dust collector?

You may want to post a photo of the switch you have and schematic from your manual.

I have the older style power switch Oneida used ( white outer case and square on/off push buttons) and used two digital timer boards and wired it into the terminals for the wireless remote and have an output on the relay board control the digital timer boards. I use a momentary time of a few seconds so it acts as the wireless remote would.

This allows me to utilize the on/off buttons on the switch in parallel with the acorn and keeps my acorn and relay boards isolated from the 240VAC in the power switch.

(Assuming this dust collector is dedicated to the machine):

I would not use the starter, I would replace with a contactor of sufficient size to control the motor. Coil of that contactor voltage supplied and run through an Acorn output relay to control the large contactor. You can manually turn on and off the dust collector if you wish from the VCP when in the manual mode. Macros can be programmed to allow the dust collector to run for X number of seconds after it has been programmed off to clear the hose/ducts.
