Rev 4 board relay module connector

Post by greglwood »

Does anyone know what the connector for the relay module on the rev 4 board is called? Maufacturer and/or Part Number? The H10 connector.

Please explain what the issue is OR what you are trying to do?
I believe it is a JST connector.....

I want to buy a longer cable. I too believe it's a JST but there are almost a dozen different JST connectors based on pitch etc.

Well yea except that ignores the etc part. JST's come in different housing with overlapping pitches. Some JST are even compatible with some IDC connectors, this obviously is not one of them. Micro IDC maybe. Below is just some of the more common ones, I'm not sure I have tools to accurately measure 1 vs 1.25 vs 1.5 pitch. I know centroid OEM's the relay module but the connector on the acorn board is per their specs. Hopefully someone at centroid will see this and pullup a gerber file or BOM spreadsheet and take the guess work out of this.

JST connectors
ZH (1.5mm pitch)
PH (2.0mm pitch)
XH (2.5mm pitch)
PA/XA (2.0mm / 2.5mm pitch)
EH (2.5mm pitch)
RCY (2.5mm pitch)
SH/SR (1.0mm pitch)
SHD (1.0mm pitch)
GH (1.25mm pitch)
VH (3.96mm pitch)

You can easily tell it's between 2 and 3 millimeters. That leaves only the 2.5mm pitch connectors. A quick visual comparison says it's an XH 10 pin connector confirmed by the "10 H JST" on the side of the connector.

30 seconds with the JST catalog says it's probably a B10B-XH-A.
Cheers,

Tom

CNC4PC makes a mating JST connector on one side and a terminal block on the other side. Get two and make your relay board extension.
Otherwise, you'll need to buy the connectors, pins and the crimpers if you don't have them already.

Why not just cut his current cable in half and add in his own terminal strips or blocks and make the extension? No need to buy anything.
