Axis is affected by VFD

Post by mcataluna »

Hello everyone, we have a cnc acorn and XSY-AT1 VFD
We have a problem with axis when we connect the analog output of acorn to analog input of VFD
The axis automatically moving without command

What will be the solution?
Thank you in advance

search "VFD" and "Noise"
here is how.

Post a picture of your control cabinet as well.
ALWAYS Post a Fresh Report when asking for assistance. F7 Utility, F7 Create Report
It contains your machine's parameters and logs. Have you taken a look at your error log? F7 Utility, F9 Logs, F1 Errors

Inexpensive Chinese VFD's can be problematic.
VFD cable sized and connected appropriately between the VFD and the motor is suggested.
automationdirect.com sells such cable. You need to know your motor current draw.

TLDR: Use shielded cable and terminate it properly

Thank you everyone, We solved the VFD noise problem by grounding the shielded cable to the body of machine.
Unfortunately, we encounter a new problem with the axis. When moving the z axis the axis travel exceeded by 0.01 mm every millimeter it travels, we check it by using dial indicator.

Any idea how to solve this?
Thank you in advance.
