Hello,
I am using Aspire 9.5, Acorn CNC Controller board and Clearpath motors. What is the recommended post processor to be used? Centroid?
Thanks!

Hi Tony, the Centroid PP in the various Vectric software programs usually works right out of the box. I also use Vectric software and remember they did work but I have since made a few modifications to them to suit my needs. But to answer your question I'd start with the one you show in your pic. You can always tweak it later if you need to.

Sounds good Shawn. I need to engrave a logo on a cylinder, I hope that the pp understands what I am trying to accomplish.ShawnM wrote: ↑Thu Dec 09, 2021 5:14 pm Hi Tony, the Centroid PP in the various Vectric software programs usually works right out of the box. Re: Aspire 9.5 post processor
I have not tried any work with a rotary axis yet. I want to add one to my cnc plasma table that I just retrofit with the Acorn controller but have never even tried to create a cut file for a rotary part yet. A new learning experience for me.
I saw the pics of your cues, beautiful work!

Centroid Wrapping Aspire 9.5 post processor
Reviving this thread a bit. Does anyone have a Centroid wrapping post processor? Aspire does not have a wrapping Centroid post-processor, maybe some of you changed it to include wrapping...

Re: Aspire 9.5 post processor
Did you do this with Mach3 previously? If so, open the Mach3 wrapping post that you used to use and edit it to work with Centroid. It probably won't need much to make it compatible. The post processor editing guide is in the Aspire help menu. You could open the Centroid post and edit them side by side to compare.
You could just the Mach3 one and see what if any error messages pop up in CNC12. I'm guessing there will be a few, but that would give you an idea of what needs changing.

Tony...
I have a few of them...
Y to A, X to B
Some with G93 (inverse time)

Re: Aspire 9.5 post processor
A friend of mine helped me with a custom configuration of Mach3 switching the Y axis by the A axis so the answer is, kind of worked.Sword wrote: ↑Wed Dec 15, 2021 12:02 am Did you do this with Mach3 previously? I will post the code tomorrow of the post processors to see if there is anything that needs to be added. Aspire has a lot of wrapping post processors but no Centroid Wrapping pp.
