Hi, I'm going to make a cnc using lathe in the link below.

https://www.sherline.com/product/4000a- ... c-package/

First of all, I will purchase an acorn cnc board and purchase a pro version of software to make screws. And I am thinking of removing the existing DC motor and installing the AC servo motor, but will there be a problem? Do you have a motor to recommend?

I'm a beginner at cnc. Please give us a kind explanation.

Have you ever done a CNC conversion before? Do you have basic electronic/electrical experience needed to carry out the conversion? Can you read schematics?
Go hear and download the Acorn Installation Manual. Peruse all the resources available to you.

At the very top of the main page are the Knowledgebase Videos and Tech Tips.
If you enter Centroid CNC Acorn in the YouTube search box, you'll find LOTS of video too.

When you get stuck, follow this post when asking for help:

ALWAYS remember to post a fresh report from CNC12. F7 Utility, F7 Create Report
That file has all the machine and software configuration its very helpful to us.
Remember, the more information you provide, the better suggestions we can make.

ALWAYS bench test Acorn, and then add one drive and motor at a time on the bench and get them going.
Drives that use 5VDC logic get connected to the DB25. You can find DB25 male breakout boards on Amazon.

Keith provided links to some videos of a similar if not the same machine you will be working on. Hopefully they will help too.
Good luck with your project!
Marty
