:!: You guys are absolutely amazing :!:
I will look into your guys suggestions and advice here.
I do need the button for the X0Y0 though…
The CNC is working, just needs the limit switches working and yes I forgot to press F6 to disable the rotary axis since it’s not being used.

Centroid software is CNC12. There is a version for Centroid Acorn.
Marty,
I called ACCS - Acorn CNC Control Software but moving forward I will call it CNC12 so I can speak the same language. Thanks for the video my friend and thanks for the great videos you do!

Howdy!

So It is time to update everyone that helped and unfortunately still have a few issues going on:

The good news!
The limit switches were fixed (had 2 bad switches) and I was able to home the CNC successfully! Yeah!!!! :D

Still having some issues after being able to Home the CNC:
  • I am unable to Home the CNC with the A axis enabled (F6) - it homes the axis Z, Y and X still says that the machine needs to be homed. If I disable (F6) the A axis the CNC homes and is ready to go to work. What can I do to Home the CNC and still use the A axis?
  • Homing X is running at 15ipm, is there a way to change that velocity?
  • When I was able to use the rotary, if I issued a command in MDI like A120, it's accurate but super sloooooow, where can I change that jog speed? And what is a faster speed recommended?
At the end of the day the good news is the machine works very well but need to get the A axis situation fixed.
Thanks for all the input and help guys!

Do you have the Pro version of the software?

The slow jog speed is your homing speed. I run homing at 500mm/min ~ 20ipm

I do have the Pro version of CNC12. What about the speed on the A axis?
I’m not able to understand why I can’t home the machine with the A axis enabled (F6), I do not have any limit switches on my rotary.

If you are using G0 when you move the A-axis using MDI then the speed is set with the fast jog setting in the Wizard. If you are moving the A-axis in MDI using G1, the then feedrate is set using the Fnnn word.
Cheers,

Tom

Thanks for the help Tom but I was unable to find anything in the manual on chapter 11 with the Fnnn word. I even did a keyword search with no results.
