Unable to setup homing <answered>

Post by guerra_cues »

Hello,
I have been trying to setup homing and thought I had everything setup correctly.
https://photos.app.goo.gl/y7ven8Ht7mevHm326
The settings do not save on the wizard either.
I have been trying to hit cycle start in order to find automatically the home position and no axis move.
Any suggestions on what might be wrong? DId I miss any steps?

Gonna need more information, a report, screen shots of your other wizard screens....

How are your proxy switches set in the Inputs page?

My apologies Scott, trying to get used to properly post a technical question here.
Please see the attachments, is the Inputs page in the wizard? I have included a screenshot of that as well.
I have to tell you as well that I have loaded one of the gcode files and did a dry run and the cnc moved without an issue.

Your have not configured any home switches. Are they wired? In the screen with all the LED's displayed, do they inputs toggle from red to green and back when you trip the switches? Which LED's toggle with which switches? for example does #1 trip when you toggle x-, #2 with X+ etc...

What page(s) do I set the home switches?
The video below shows an older version of the software.

I do have switches installed and I will trip them and get back to you on this.

Tony

You need to provide all information requested by Support including uploading a new REPORT.ZIP (On home page F7 Utility then F7 Create Report). Save to desktop and then upload the ZIP file (i.e.without extracting).

Hope this helps

It appears that you have not set up anything in the Wizard for inputs/outputs and possibly axis configuration. We have no idea what your machine needs as far as configuration for drive type, type of prox switches (NC/NO), and axes config, you'll need to provide such information. When you chose a drive type, you need to "load" it and follow the prompt from the Wizard (sometimes you need to scroll up/down side/side to see the "Load Drive" buttons). After that you need to work your way through the Wizard and set your inputs/outputs, axis config accordingly and then chose to "write" those settings or none of it will be saved.

Your current homing file (created by the Wizard) is just a simple home, meaning that when prompted to hit cycle start, it just sets home at it's current position. Setting the inputs correctly for your switches and the settings in "Homing" will then change that routine.
