I was just asking for clarification.
I did the test and the spindle did in fact spin. reading on VFD said H 61
Ok, replace the battery with the Acorn Spindle Analog output and
Connect the Output relay Normally Open Contacts controlled by SpinFwd between X1 and Acorn Com

This sends the Acorn Analog Spindle signals to the VFD:
Acorn Spindle Analog Out to VFD AVI
Acorn Spindle Analog COM to VFD COM
This turns on the VFD in the Forward direction using G code or manually from the VCP when the spindle is in the MAN mode:
I don't know what output you are using for SpinFWD BUT:
Acorn Relay "X" (X being the output number and relay assigned to SpinFwd), COM to VFD COM
Acorn Relay "X" Normally Open to VFD X1

So the battery test worked perfectly. So what am I doing wrong and why wont the spindle start? Do I need to run a jumper from COM to X1(spindlefwd) always?
I jumped VFD COM (DCM port at VFD NOT the ACM port) to X1 (spindle fwd).
I then connected those wires to the - side of the battery
I took the VFD AVI and put it on the + side of the battery and it ran.
HOWEVER, when I remove the jumper and run the DCM wire to the Spindle Relay #4, the X1 (spindleFWD) wire to the spindle relay #4
then in section H8 of the Acorn Board:
I run AVI to "AN OUT"
I run ACM to "AN GND"
and now it magically works for anyone having same problem as me
